Good day, wonderful, and a happy new beginning!
Here we are in 2022, and this is one powerful set of numbers. Instead of hoping for a better year, let's make it so by being creative, enjoying life's magic and embracing every moment.
Most of the Christmas and New Year period was spent settling in at our new base-camp and acclimatising to different terrain and what feels like an amazing opportunity to begin again - not just in terms of a fresh chapter but a brand new story.
Considering that we are now based in town, it is (so far) surprisingly quiet here - indeed far more quiet than when we lived on the farm. And for the first time in an age, I've experienced a deeper and more refreshing sleep. It feels like I'm home - or as home as I'm ever likely to feel on this planet - and this is encouraging because it creates the right kind of conditions for creativity. Do you think there’s enough magical light streaming through?
On a numerological level, 2022 is said to be a '6' year, which is all about home and responsibility. This feels relevant. My personal number for this year is also a 6, which explains why I've spent the past few weeks feeling relatively content at making my new writer's nest an inspiring and comfortable place to be. How are you finding the energy of this period? If things are feeling challenging or uncertain, focus on doing whatever it takes to bring about inner peace and calm. From this stillness, a sense of harmony will arise and gift you with greater clarity and strength to navigate through any difficulties.
After leaving rural West Lancashire, I do miss the serenade of the tawny owls and seeing the hares chasing each other across the meadows but I glance out of the windows here, and there are trees, blackbirds, song thrushes, pigeons, and plenty of cats and dogs. Yesterday, a robin and a wren caught my attention as they foraged in the brambles along the winding brook that passes through this part of town. Nature is always there, even in unexpected places, and my connection remains as strong as ever.
Since arriving in 2022, I've felt an increased surge of creative energy. It's the kind of attractive energy that gives rise to something substantial... another book, perhaps, or a new venture, course or experience. I always have a project on the go, but this energy feels so much more expansive and full of insights. As always, my intention and focus is to create something special for lovely people like you so that you can experience more magical moments, happiness, creativity, intuition and well-being. It’s such a pleasure to hold space for you to find and nurture your inner spark so that you can shine brighter than ever before.
After a busy start to January with writing commissions and mentoring, my thoughts are now steered towards creating something magical. It's called The Art of Seeing, and it’s a short course that I will be facilitating with Mr Fen from Beautiful Things.
You can find out more about this experience here, and I urge you to email me if you'd like to participate. I can then let you know when the course is ready to start as well as offer you an early-bird discount.
But to give you a taste of what we'll be doing in The Art of Seeing, take a look at this photo I took one autumn…
Apart from the trees and hedgerow, what else do you see? Perhaps you have spotted a face (or several) or maybe you see a musician playing guitar? We'll be considering pareidolia and how the imagination is sparked by seeing more than what first appears, and we’ll be running some experiments too. It’ll be fun and full of insights, and it’s for anyone who wishes to experience a bit more magic and inspiration. I can’t wait to share.
One of my roles in life is to inspire lovely people like you to expand your creativity and explore life's wonders. It's when we are immersed in the moment, focused on our he/art based activities, that we find doors opening to the magic around us. In this space, it's possible to find...
# deep insights and beautiful revelations
# a feeling of joyful peace and well-being
# some extraordinary treasure
# your playful, most imaginative self.
And in this overwhelming world that can often feel too loud, too heavy and too much, making space to enjoy life’s wonders is an act of love. It’s medicine for the soul.
Apart from writing, creating and mentoring, I’m also planning some mini-adventures. There are several much-loved places that are whispering their secrets to me, and I feel called to explore. More about that anon.
Have a super 2022 filled with all kinds of wonderful. Remember… we are here on the earth journey to live in our fullest expression, to share our gifts, and to be the shining lights that we are. No matter what’s going on in the world, enjoy every precious moment!
Lots of love and bright wishes,
Thank you for reading…
