♡ All Change ♡

October 2021

Good day, magical one,

We are deep into autumn in our part of the shire. You wouldn't have thought so. Although the leaves are gently falling, creating a gold and copper carpet, there are still signs of a lingering summer. Flowers are blooming. Some days are pleasantly mild. The ferocious and unforgiving high winds have yet to arrive. And I look back over the past few months and realise that the weather has been more peaceful on the whole as if the gods have called a truce on an atmospheric battle that has played out on the fringes of reality for too many years. The wind and rain will come, no doubt, but with a roar or a sigh we will have to wait and see.

There is change in the air, of that I am certain. Of course, change is a constant in life measured by the turning of time's wheel. Mostly, it is subtle and barely noticeable in the passing of days, and sometimes change is dramatic. But this sense of change feels greatly significant in ways that have yet to be fully revealed.

Since the last issue of The Lantern, I’ve endured a long but necessary expedition travelling round the jungles of the mind, crossing space-lines and standing resolute against demons that are running amok on the world stage, but I have found my way through the tangled web with an extra sparkle in my eyes.

Some gems of wisdom I've picked up along the way:

# Observe what's going on but don't absorb the dissonant energy.

# Dance your way out of the noise into harmony.

# Live a life that makes you feel like pure sunshine.

# Be a lighthouse for others to find their way.

# Know thyself is the key to the gold.

# Life is beautiful and extraordinary, and we are here to live it. ♡

In the tune of soon, the clocks will fall back in our part of the realm. And I chuckle to myself, knowing full well that time isn’t what it seems.

From my writer's nest, it's been all change, too. I've been letting go, surrendering, clearing, and allowing. I've tidied up my website at CarolAnneStrange.com and I'm making space for fresh stories, fresh offerings, and some special kind of magic to share. Perhaps you can help…

That's all for this issue of The Lantern. On the not-too-distant horizon, I’ll be moving to a new base-camp. This will certainly mark a new chapter or perhaps ignite a whole new story. Perhaps I’ll be able to share more in the next issue.
